I'm one month shy of surviving the first year of motherhood. Surviving isn't the word I should pick. I should be writing about all the beautiful blessing of motherhood, but honestly running the NYC marathon was easier than the constant whirlwind of meeting all the needs of a family, nevermind me. But this isn't going to be a rant. I want to highlight 3 ways that I have found balance over the last year.

Tumblr Link Love: Griottes 365
Griottes 365 is the foodie's and stylist's ultimate dream. It is loaded with the most amazing images. I can't stop drooling. I love the simplicity of the prop styling and the elegant French touch. Could a simple meal feel any more beautiful?

Finding the Life in Winter: A Trip to a Toronto Conservatory
![]() |
| {The Gardeners rake in the Western Wing} |
It was a trip to look at flowers and no boys allowed! Lol! Okay, daddy was busy but that didn't stop us from having an amazing time. My favorite little girl slept for the first jaunt around the conservatory.
There were so many beautiful colors and textures in nature it was hard to pick a favorite.
There were so many amazing shapes, too. Have you ever seen a plant with tips like these? They look like E.T. fingers!

Photo Collages
{image shot with my camera phone}
Out and about, as the Canadians say. I've been shopping the current Toronto loft market and came across some great interiors. I love the use of photo collages in this particular space. The idea of framing up lots of personal favorite photos and hoisting them to the walls for display is never going to go out of style. It can even work in the bath areas, too.
Get creative and think of new ways to display your personal artwork or memories!

Weekend Forecast: Heaven is What You See
{image via Anthropologie}
Be an adventurer spirit this weekend, open up to new possibilites...
Chase your cares away and find a perfect place to read a book...and discover a new world on paper.
Has the late Spring got you homeward bound due to gale force winds or soft pattering rain? Invite a friend over and have a tea party!
Better yet, realize that heaven is all around you! It's what you see in the little and big things.
Find some contrast in your life. Grab a camera and find your slice of adventure. You don't have to travel to India, China, or Africa to discover a new world. It's all around you just waiting to be discovered.
